Aubrey is 2!

WOW! How time flies. Aubrey is now 2 years old. Seems like yesterday we were on the way to the hospital to have him. The funny thing is, the whole thing happened so quickly, you don't really have time to freak out, but looking back--I can't believe I had a baby in the car! Well, at least we got a good story out of the whole thing! Here he is then at 5lbs 7oz 18 inches long.

Homeade Snow...

Well, once again it has been a long time since the last post. Time has flown by so quickly and we have been busy. We have several projects going on right now. The Chicken shack is progressing slowly but surely and we have planted our apple trees, grape vines, blueberries, and raspberries. Soon we will be planting our summer garden, which, is my favorite! Can wait till we have some fresh tomatoes. Below you will see pictures of what the boys managed to do in 10 minutes of no supervision. Gotta love it! Seth said they were playing cops and were dusting for fingerprints! As if their general mess wasn't enough to clean up.

I couldn't resist posting this picture of Aubrey. For some reason, my children think they need to be devoid of all clothing in order to play in the mud. Aubrey, it appears, decided to enjoy the sun as well as the mud.

Incredible, Edible EGG

Ok, I know it has been a long time since I last posted. No excuses, however, we did have some trouble with the our dish not being lined up properly with the satellite, but it is much better now. We are all doing well. The kids are growing. Aubrey is talking very well, and about to get a rude awakening because as soon as we run out of diapers, he is getting potty trained. I can't take the diapers any more. Nadya is almost crawling. She gets on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth. Won't be long; she already drags herself to the toys she wants on the floor. Sean is starting to ask why. So far it hasn't been too annoying, but I'm sure it will be given time.

One of our chickens layed this ginormous egg. It was so big I couldn't put my fingers around it!!!
Sean is holding a regular Large egg and the huge egg in the other hand. Most of the eggs the chickens lay are what you would get if you bought jumbo eggs at the store. This giant one was a double yoker! See picture below. Seth said it tasted great!

Happy Valentines day to all. LOVE from the Chandlers

Fish, fish, and more fish....

Here are the pictures I promised from the aquarium visit in Georgia plus a few others....

Sean and his sweet smile
This is what happens when your book on cd ends in the middle of the trip. Can you see my hand holding the camera as well as the windows in the car?
Fish everywhere!
Sean is my budding photographer; he took this picture.
Aubrey on Dino

Spider crabs
Beluga whale
This is my FAVORITE picture. I've forgotten the complete name of this creature, but I think it was a seedy Sea Dragon or something like that.

A glowing jellyfish
This is another of my favorites
Check out the whale shark. The largest fish in the ocean

One of my other favorites
The kids loved the jellyfish tank. Me too! Aubrey's profile.
Check out the jellys!

When 3 year olds dress themselves...

We hope everyone had a really great time over the holidays! I know we did. It was a little hectic but not too bad. I find it hard to believe that we are already into the 2nd week in January. Below is a picture of the bonfire we had for New Years. It was a lot of fun to watch. We had a good time visiting with friends and shooting the cannon! The next day the kids and I went with some family to Atlanta to visit with my Aunt. We had a good time, but it was good to get back home!! We visited the Georgia Aquarium while we were there and had a great time. I will post pictures of it soon.
Well as you can tell in the picture below, strange things happen when toddlers are allowed to dress themselves. Sean has been forbidden from going upstairs and finding his own attire. I would go up there after he "dressed" himself and find clothes strewn about the room. It looked like a pack of teenage girls had been up there. As for what he is wearing: a 12-18 month shirt, a pair of his jeans, spurs around his knees and of course no outfit would be complete without his cowboy boots, hat and belt! Gotta love it!
We send many wishes out for a wonderful year. I personally am liking the way 2008 rhymes with things like, hope 2008 is great, but I am just corny like that sometimes! I'll update with more pictures soon....

All I want for Christmas...

A picture of my niece, Cori; she is a month younger than Nadya.

Well, we have our Christmas tree up! The boys are so excited! I had a time convincing Seth to get one, but even he admitted that hearing Aubrey say Christmas tree is worth every penny we paid for it! The first thing the boys want to do in the morning is turn on the lights! I have to get it on video!

Our chickens are getting settled and their egg production has increased. We picked a dozen the other day but most days it is around 10. Seth is happy because they are finally starting to lay in the boxes we put for them instead of on the bottom of the cage! We try to let them out every evening so they can scratch in the grass because the pen they are in is very small. I think it was Monday afternoon I was outside holding Nadya in one arm and an egg in the other hand watching the chickens and the rooster decided that I was all of a sudden a threat so he started to try and spur me. I wish I had a video of it, because I am sure it was a hilarious sight to see me doing this "dance" with this rooster. He would squat down and jump up to spur me at which time I would kick at him with my foot and jump back. I only had crocs on so it wasn't very convincing apparently becuase he wouldn't stop doing it! I was afraid poor Nadya was going to get whiplash from all this. Well, after a couple minutes of this I got tired of it and found a stick. Lets just say the rooster got the message!! He hasn't bothered me since. Maybe the stick in my hand is a clue to him!! The funniest part of it all was when he decided it wasn't worth trying to spur me, he ran back to the cage clucking like he never has before. I thought for a minute I had maybe hit him a little to hard, but as soon as I got back to the house he started crowing again. Guess it was just his white flag of surrender!

Well as for the title of this post: my two front teeth! Nah, I already have those thank God! But for the first time in my life I actually heard the entire song on the radio. Did you know the only reason he wanted his two front teeth is so that he could whistle??? I would have said something like, so I could eat!! (much more important than whistling!) Anyway, I digress, all we want for Christmas is Webby to come home and some cooler weather because the broccoli is starting to flower when the heads are only like 3 inches in diameter since the weather is so warm! The bees are enjoying it!!
Below is one of the pictures I took trying to get one for a Christmas card. Don't let the busyness of this time of year get in the way of enjoying the wonder and joy that we as believers should have when celebrating our Saviour's birth!

Sad Times...

Well, we have some very sad news. Webster has been missing for 1 1/2 weeks now. We miss him terribly and fear the worst has happened. I went down the road and passed out pictures of him, but no one has called. The boys miss him. Every time they see a large dark dog they say it is Webster. There is a slim chance he still might return. We are still hoping...
